Colonial Days

This years colonial day was amazing. All of us had a blast and did great. We all showed up in our great colonial costumes.

It started with us doing amazing fun booths, such as games, tavern, god’s eyes, tea, corn husk dolls, candles, silhouettes, and calligraphy. With help from our kind parent helpers we became pros at our booths. We were ready to teach other classes.

When it came time to start the play everyone was excited and a bit nervous. Once we started everyone had fun and overall did awesome. You could see how the audience could feel the excitement of coming to new land. Everyone laughed at the sick noble man and all the other nobel men did great too. The posh ladies did great. In the play the Indians scared everyone, even Captain Alexander Whitaker, but especially those silly stooges. But their silliness made it enjoyable for everyone. They made everyone laugh. Then, what a great ending with Smith and Chief Powhatan, as they became friends and had peace. The play was really good thanks to all the actors, narrators, and especially the stage crew.

Later that day when other classes came down to our booths, we all had fun teaching K-4 all the new exciting things we had learned. It was a great amazing day that we hoped people enjoyed as much as we did!
