Yesterday, we started off the last full month of school with a special May Crowning celebration with our dear 8th graders and their families. Honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary has been a longstanding tradition that we enthusiastically carry on every year. And it is the perfect time to celebrate Mary, mother of all, as well as the special women in our lives, who make a difference everyday. Here is a short essay for Mary and all the mothers in our community.
Mother Mary, the mother of Jesus, a hardworking believer. She believed in God, so she became a mother at a young age to allow God to finish his work. She didn't care that she would get bullied for having a child. Mary knew that she was doing the right thing. She supported her son so much that she watched him die on the cross. She walked with him to Calvary, and when he fell, she was right there to help him get up again. After Jesus died, she continued to spread the message of God and cared for the disciples and followers of Jesus. Thank you, Mary, for all you did and for being a light in our world, you are an inspiration, and when I look at my mother, I see you in her eyes.
Mom, you are there when I am in need and have taught me so much about the world. You taught me to be a wonderful daughter, a caring friend, and most importantly, a hard worker. You taught me never to give up, no matter how unbearable the situation is. I look up to you when I'm lost and need guidance. You light my path like a star in the night sky. When all is dark, you lead me to the light. You are so devoted to our family and our well-being. You've provided me with an exceptional education and a wonderful childhood that I could never forget. You made my life as a little girl fun and fantastic, full of laughter and love. I remember all of our cooking competitions and all the places that I would beg you to drive me to, and I remember all of the times you helped me redo my room because I was so indecisive. My mom is so insightful, like I'll be having a bad day, and I haven't even told her about it, and she'll know something's wrong. My mother will support anything I choose to do, whether it be a good decision or a learning experience. She is a leader, a friend, a businesswoman, a partner, and a mom all wrapped in one happy bundle. My mom is the best mother in the world, and I am so proud to be her daughter.
