Dear Parents,

            All of the students have shown focus and dedication while taking the ITBS tests. Much of their time with me was spent taking the test, but we did have an opportunity to begin Family Life in Religion. Our focus was Christian Personhood. We talked about being whole and balanced in relationship to our mind, body and spirit. Seeing all three in others means recognizing and appreciating that we are spirit as well as mind and body. Each of us has unique gifts to share. We are deeper than our self-image. Our class brainstormed influences in life that affect one’s self-image. We concluded that everything from the ones we love to magazines and reality TV to peer and cultural pressures have an affect on one’s self-image. We look to faith in God to give us confidence.
            A change has been made to the upcoming schedule. Eighth grade will be visiting Bishop O’Dowd on Monday, October 6th. Thank you to all the drivers who have so kindly signed up for the Saint Mary’s fieldtrip on October 2nd. To confirm, drivers will need to arrive at Corpus Christi at 9:15. The tour will end at 1 pm and we expect to be back at school around 1:30. Lunch will be provided. 
            Driving to Saint Mary’s on Oct 2 ant the maximum number of students they can drive are:
